What is the PTA?
The PTA is an organization that serves as a type of forum where parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults discuss ways to promote quality education, strive to expand the arts, encourage community involvement, and work for a healthy environment and safe neighborhoods.
What does the Herricks Middle School PTA do?
We provide financial support for school assemblies and presentations, including topics such as internet safety, drug and alcohol awareness, and social emotional learning, just to name a few. The PTA also runs book fairs, school picnics, spirit days and dances. The PTA also grants money to the school for the purchase of items to benefit the children. In the past, we have donated money towards outdoor tables, chairs, benches, recess equipment and new signage.
